thanks mate, it wont be a problem loading a new windows if i have too, but not sure exactly how you do it if you got windows on laptop already?

check my post that i replied to on your thread, follow the instructions and try booting into safe mode(F8 when booting), then use CONTROL PANEL - USER ACCOUNTS to delete the main user password or to create a new user account for your friend,assuming the built in administrators account has not beeen password protected.

Hope this helps, if you find the Admin's account has a password you will most likely have to re-install windows unless you can get the pass, if your mate got it off ebay or ebid tell them to email the seller and request the pass.
