99 (2009) DVDRiP XviD

D3Si brings us this bollywood movie titled “99″, which I think looks quite interesting. It’s a comedy / drama with pretty high ratings so far on IMDB, although a low number of voters so you can’t really trust it. The film and current reviews claim it’s a really “fun” watch, and I might give this one a go myself. Make sure to leave a comment if you watched this and let us know what you thought. Quality: The beginning of the film is pretty dark so hard to see quality, but the rest of it looks pretty nice so as you would expect from a DVDRip.

Synopsis: 99 is an original story inspired by real events - well, very liberally inspired - it is more fiction than fact. It is the story of two men in two cities, who are bound by a common feeling of always being stuck at ‘99′. They never seem to make it to a ‘century’ - in life. It is an unpredictable and hilarious ride spread over two cities with colorful characters, unbelievable circumstances, small-time crooks, big-time conspiracies, fateful car crashes, a briefcase full of money… and a historical controversy brewing in the background!

17 Again 2009 CAM

Have not seen this, and probably never will. One of my friends watched it and he thought it was okay. The IMDB ratings agree. If you have bandwidth to spare, give it a shot you might just like it.

Quality: The video is really good for a “CAM” release. The audio on the other hand is not that good. But I would say it is VERY watchable. Check out the sample and judge for yourself.

Synopsis: At 17 Mike O’Donell was on top of the world; he was the star of his high school basketball team, and was a shoo in for a college scholarship. And is dating his soul mate, Scarlett. But on what’s suppose to be his big game wherein college scouts are checking him out, Scarlett reveals that she’s pregnant. Mike decides to leave the game and asks Scarlett to marry him which she does. During their marriage, Mike could only whine about the life he lost because he married her. So she throws him out. And when he loses his job, he returns to the only place he’s happy at - his old high school. And while looking at his high school photo, a janitor asks him if he wishes he could be 17 again and he says yes. One night while driving he sees the janitor on a bridge and apparently jumps in and he goes after him. When he returns to his friend, Ned’s house, where he has been staying, he sees that he is 17 again. He decides to take this opportunity to get the life he lost.

Love N Dancing

More romance.. sigh. Just kiddin’, here we have a movie from HLS, which isn’t just romance - it’s a drama too! It stars Amy Smart, known from Crank, Road Trip and The Butterfly Effect. I have an idea this is one of those flicks you have to see with a girl - Enjoy anyway!

Quality: Video’s good, audio’s good, Amy Smart’s HOT - IS ALL GOOD.

Synopsis: Jake Mitchell is the defending World West Coast Swing Champion. He’s got everything going for him: looks, personality, and style. He’s at the top of his game when he and his partner Corinne are crowned the unexpected winners at the World Swing Dance Championships. As the crowd cheers and the celebration begins, Jake appears uneasy. Did he really deserve to win? The music blasts and the bass is thumping, and Jake hears none of it. He feels it. Jake is completely deaf, due to an ear infection when he was a teenager. He learned how to dance by feeling the vibrations of the music. Now he feels something else: that perhaps the judges gave him the win out of sympathy.

One Week 2008 BDRip XviD

BeStDivX have released a nice BDRip of a Canadian feature film directed by Michael McGowan and in which stars Joshua Jackson, Liane Balaban, and Campbell Scott. The movie is rated decently on IMDb. So check it out if you have time. Chronicles the motorcycle trip of Ben Tyler as he rides from Toronto to Tofino, British Columbia. Ben stops at landmarks that are both iconic and idiosyncratic on his quest to find meaning in his life. One Week screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2008.

Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson) has been diagnosed with cancer. With a grim chance of survival in the best case scenario even if he immediately begins treatment, he instead decides to take a motorcycle trip from Toronto through the Canadian prairies to British Columbia. Along the way, he makes new friends, reevaluates his relationship with his fiancée Samantha (played by Liane Balaban), his job, and his dream of becoming a writer, and, after suffering some near-death experiences, learns to appreciate life.

Punisher War Zone (2008) m-HD

The film opens in Lexington, Massachusetts in 1959, where a competition is held among the students of a new elementary school to celebrate its opening. The winning plan, from student Lucinda Embry, a seemingly mental disorder/mentally disturbed girl, is to bury a time capsule containing the students' drawings of the future to be opened 50 years later in 2009. She is prevented from finishing her image, which is actually a series of seemingly random numbers, and goes missing during the ceremony. Her teacher later finds her in a gym closet, frantically scratching the remaining numbers into the door. Fifty years later, the time capsule is opened and the pictures are handed down to the new generation of students. Caleb, the son of MIT professor and astrophysics|astrophysicist John Koestler, receives Lucinda's envelope. Initially dismissing them as random numbers, John notices a single random number sequence, 911012996, which contains the date of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks|World Trade Center attacks as well as the death toll of the attack. Further research leads John to realise the numbers are a list contain the dates and death tolls of every major disaster, natural and man made, that has happened over the past 50 years, with three that have not occurred yet. When a commercial plane crash kills 81, the legitimacy of the list of numbers is confirmed and leading John to believe that Lucinda had an ability to prognosticate since childhood until she died. It is also revealed through this incident that the numbers contain the coordinates for every event listed. As his wife died in one of the past events, John starts to believe his son was chosen to get Lucinda's prophecies. After Caleb receives a vision of future global catastrophe from a silent man, John tries to contact the late Lucinda's daughter, Diana, to gain more information, but is rebuffed. But when John also predicts the second event, a subway train crash, Diana and her daughter, Abby, visit John and Caleb, and Diana reveals that her mother foretold of the date of her death would be on October 19th, which is also within the list. They investigate Lucinda's old mobile home in the woods, discovering walls of news clippings of the events and a drawing of Merkabah|Ezekiel's Wheel. During their investigation, the group encounters the silent man and three others, who vanish in a flash of light protruded from the man's mouth when John confronts them. Later Caleb is found writing numbers very similar to the ones that Lucinda wrote without realizing what he is doing. This may suggest that those numbers are predictions for future events. As a result of the confrontation, Abby is revealed to have been contacted by the "whisper people". Initially believing that the last event will kill only 33, John eventually re-examines the numbers after Diana's mention on how her mother used to write numbers and letters backward. He discovers that the final digits are not "33", but actually "EE" written backwards; the final event is a massive solar flare that will kill "Everyone Else." As Diana prepares to travel to a system of caves she believes will save them, John breaks into the school to steal the door Lucinda scratched the numbers on. At his house, he begins to scrape the paint off the door, but Diana refuses to wait for him, and leaves with the kids. As the solar flare approaches, it begins to disrupt cell phone signals, preventing John from contacting Diana. She is finally able to contact John through a gas station pay phone, and he tells her that the final numbers are the coordinates of her mother's house, which he believes is safe, while the caves won't protect them from the solar flare's radiation. When panic erupts at the gas station following the government's activation of the national Emergency Alert System and announcement of the solar flare, two of the whisper people hijack Diana's car with the two children. Giving chase in another car, Diana is hit by a truck trying to run a red light, dying exactly at midnight, on the very day her mother predicted. Arriving back at Lucinda's mobile home, John discovers the children are safe and comfortable in the presence of the whisper people. The whisper people are revealed to be celestial angel-like beings who invite the children to escape the destruction "to help everyone start over". At first, Caleb is very reluctant to go when his father is not invited to come along; John successfully persuades him to go, saying that they will be together again eventually. The whisper people leave Earth on their ship, a massive structure resembling Ezekiel's Wheel, as other ships also depart Earth. As anarchy reigns in New York City and Boston John arrives to be with his parents and sister just as the solar flare strikes Earth and incinerates all life on the planet. Caleb and Abby are dropped off on an Earth-like planet with at least two moons as the other ships drop off their passengers. The movie ends as the two children, dressed in white, run toward a large white tree, possibly being the fabled Tree of Life.

The Legend Of Bloody Mary (2008)

A young man plagued by nightmares many years after his sisters disappearance after playing a game of…you guessed it bloody Mary, decides to rid himself of these night terrors with the help of a priest, together they uncover the legend of Mary Worth, a young girl who was violently killed in the 17th century for being pregnant out of wedlock, all the while having to look at her badly slashed up face & very own execution in front of a mirror. When the mirror, her bones & the remains of her unborn child are found, Mary decides to make sure that the hero, the priest & anyone else who knows about her is killed before they can stop her terrifying legacy. THE LEGEND OF BLOODY MARY is yet another in what seems like an endless cycle of films based on the creepy urban legend. Unfortuantly this one is no better than the other 20,000 films based on the same character & tale. There’s no suspense, no scares, the CGI is bad, the acting & directing way off & the film looks very, very cheaply made. IMDb claims the budget to be about a million, but I highly doubt that, the film looks far to cheap to have a budget like that, heck even $100,000 maybe doubtful, either that or someone needs to fire the Cinematographer! Horror fans looking for some thrills won’t find them here, though I thought the flashback scenes where a group of girls are being haunted after playing the game to be pretty decent & the scenes set in the 17th century, but once the plot jumps back to the present, it gets pretty boring & I highly doubt a priest would call out the lords name in vain or have little or no time to pray for & help someone like this priest does. The same goes for the scenes where he’s talking to the detective & the cop drops the F bomb a few times, what detective would use that kind of language when talking to a priest? Avoid this one & see URBAN LEGENDS: BLOODY MARY instead, it’s a much better movie.

Last House On The Left (2009)

After settling their affairs, Emma (Monica Potter), John (Tony Goldwyn), and Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) head out on vacation to their lake house. Shortly after arriving, Mari borrows the family car and drives into town to spend time with her friend Paige (Martha MacIsaac). While Paige works the cash register at a local store, she and Mari meet Justin (Spencer Treat Clark), a teenager passing through the town who invites them both back to his hotel room to smoke some weed. While the three are hanging out in the hotel room, Krug (Garret Dillahunt), Justins father, Francis (Aaron Paul), Justins uncle, and Sadie (Riki Lindhome), Krug's girlfriend, arrive.

Krug shows Justin a local newspaper that has Krug's and Sadie's pictures on the front page, which explains how Sadie and Francis broke Krug out of police custody and killed the two officers that were transporting him. Believing it too risky to let Paige and Mari go, Krug kidnaps them and uses their vehicle to leave town. While Krug searches for the highway, Mari convinces him to take a road that leads him to her parents lake house; Mari then attempts to jump out of the vehicle, but the ensuing fight amongst all the passengers causes Krug to crash into a tree. Frustrated by Mari's attempts to escape, Sadie and Francis proceed to beat Mari as she crawls away from the wreckage. Krug attempts to teach his son to "be a man" by forcing him to fondle Mari's breasts. When Justin refuses Krug decides to rape Mari. Paige begins insulting him to get him to stop, which causes Krug to pause momentarily only to stab Paige in the stomach twice. As Mari watches Paige bleed to death she is raped by Krug. Afterward, Mari musters enough strength to escape the group and make it to the lake so that she can swim to safety. Before she can swim far enough Krug shoots her in the back, leaving her to bleed out in the lake.

A storm forces Krug and his gang to seek refuge with John and Emma, whose home is nearby. Justin realizes that they are Mari's parents, and intentionally leaves a necklace Mari was wearing on the counter to alert them about their daughter. When John and Emma find Mari, barely alive, on their porch, along with the necklace from the counter, they realize that the people who did this to Mari are in their home. As they try and find the key to their boat, so that they can take Mari to the hospital, they decide to get revenge on those responsible. When Francis happens upon Mari's body he is attacked and killed by John and Emma. When the couple go after Krug and Sadie they find Justin in possession of Krug's gun; Justin gives the gun to John so he can kill Krug. Sadie awakens and interrupts John, allowing Krug the chance to escape the couple where he pieces together that they are Mari's parents. After Emma shoots Sadie in the head, John runs after Krug. With a combined effort from Emma, John and Justin, Krug is knocked unconscious. John paralyzes Krug from the neck down, and leaves him to die with his head in an active microwave; then he, Emma, Mari, and Justin take the boat to the local hospital.

Skull And Bones 2007 DVDRip XviD

Basically all you get from Skull & Bones is a 73-minute string of horrendous gay clichés, hideous man asses wagging back and forth or having various objects forcibly inserted into them, atrocious acting (even for camp), and some of the most ridiculous editing I’ve ever seen. The violence is as laughable as the plot, and I’m not even sure if it should be categorized as horror. A better classification would be HORRIBLE.

This first appeared on Real Movie Review-Movie Reviews, Movie Quotes, Movie Trivia This is a weak, romantic comedy that could only be more predictable if you had seen it before. For humour, they use a lot of clumsy spills and exaggerated overreactions that havent been funny for me since I stopped having recess. The male characters are giant neon signs announcing everything about them so that you could predict the film from across the street. There are a couple amusing scenes with Keatons character chatting candidly with her daughters about everything from lingerie, to female orgasms, to cut vs uncut (yes those), but its not amusing enough to make the rest of this film worth enduring.

A Day In The Life (2007) DVDRip XviD

A Day in the Life takes the audience on a wild journey through one day of an intense street war between two rival crime families. Stick’s clan is the underdog of the two families that is pushed into the war by Black who is the head of the more powerful crime family. Black’s family draws first blood by raiding one of Stick’s drug houses and killing two of his men. From that point on, Stick struggles with the moral dilemma of either calling off his life of crime or seeking revenge and continuing the ongoing feud. Stick’s decision becomes even more complicated when his girlfriend breaks the news that she’s pregnant. The word is out that Black has put a contract out on Stick’s life and on top of all his problems, two detectives are now hot on his trail. Stick decides to flee the country with his girlfriend but before boarding the plane, a vicious gun battle ensues and no one knows who will remain standing when the smoke clears.

BeStDivX have released a nice BDRip of a Canadian feature film directed by Michael McGowan and in which stars Joshua Jackson, Liane Balaban, and Campbell Scott. The movie is rated decently on IMDb. So check it out if you have time. Chronicles the motorcycle trip of Ben Tyler as he rides from Toronto to Tofino, British Columbia. Ben stops at landmarks that are both iconic and idiosyncratic on his quest to find meaning in his life. One Week screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2008.

Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson) has been diagnosed with cancer. With a grim chance of survival in the best case scenario even if he immediately begins treatment, he instead decides to take a motorcycle trip from Toronto through the Canadian prairies to British Columbia. Along the way, he makes new friends, reevaluates his relationship with his fiancée Samantha (played by Liane Balaban), his job, and his dream of becoming a writer, and, after suffering some near-death experiences, learns to appreciate life.

Punisher War Zone (2008) m-HD

Infamous vigilante, anti-hero Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) is six years into his vengeance driven zeal as the Punisher when he brutally assaults a beat the rap party for notorious mob boss Gaitano Cesare. Punisher War Zone (2008) m-HD

The Legend Of Bloody Mary (2008)

A young man plagued by nightmares many years after his sisters disappearance after playing a game of…you guessed it bloody Mary, decides to rid himself of these night terrors with the help of a priest, together they uncover the legend of Mary Worth, a young girl who was violently killed in the 17th century for being pregnant out of wedlock, all the while having to look at her badly slashed up face & very own execution in front of a mirror. When the mirror, her bones & the remains of her unborn child are found, Mary decides to make sure that the hero, the priest & anyone else who knows about her is killed before they can stop her terrifying legacy. THE LEGEND OF BLOODY MARY is yet another in what seems like an endless cycle of films based on the creepy urban legend. Unfortuantly this one is no better than the other 20,000 films based on the same character & tale. There’s no suspense, no scares, the CGI is bad, the acting & directing way off & the film looks very, very cheaply made. IMDb claims the budget to be about a million, but I highly doubt that, the film looks far to cheap to have a budget like that, heck even $100,000 maybe doubtful, either that or someone needs to fire the Cinematographer! Horror fans looking for some thrills won’t find them here, though I thought the flashback scenes where a group of girls are being haunted after playing the game to be pretty decent & the scenes set in the 17th century, but once the plot jumps back to the present, it gets pretty boring & I highly doubt a priest would call out the lords name in vain or have little or no time to pray for & help someone like this priest does. The same goes for the scenes where he’s talking to the detective & the cop drops the F bomb a few times, what detective would use that kind of language when talking to a priest? Avoid this one & see URBAN LEGENDS: BLOODY MARY instead, it’s a much better movie.

Last House On The Left (2009)

After settling their affairs, Emma (Monica Potter), John (Tony Goldwyn), and Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) head out on vacation to their lake house. Shortly after arriving, Mari borrows the family car and drives into town to spend time with her friend Paige (Martha MacIsaac). While Paige works the cash register at a local store, she and Mari meet Justin (Spencer Treat Clark), a teenager passing through the town who invites them both back to his hotel room to smoke some weed. While the three are hanging out in the hotel room, Krug (Garret Dillahunt), Justins father, Francis (Aaron Paul), Justins uncle, and Sadie (Riki Lindhome), Krugs girlfriend, arrive.

Krug shows Justin a local newspaper that has Krugs and Sadies pictures on the front page, which explains how Sadie and Francis broke Krug out of police custody and killed the two officers that were transporting him. Believing it too risky to let Paige and Mari go, Krug kidnaps them and uses their vehicle to leave town. While Krug searches for the highway, Mari convinces him to take a road that leads him to her parents lake house; Mari then attempts to jump out of the vehicle, but the ensuing fight amongst all the passengers causes Krug to crash into a tree. Frustrated by Maris attempts to escape, Sadie and Francis proceed to beat Mari as she crawls away from the wreckage. Krug attempts to teach his son to be a man by forcing him to fondle Maris breasts. When Justin refuses Krug decides to rape Mari. Paige begins insulting him to get him to stop, which causes Krug to pause momentarily only to stab Paige in the stomach twice. As Mari watches Paige bleed to death she is raped by Krug. Afterward, Mari musters enough strength to escape the group and make it to the lake so that she can swim to safety. Before she can swim far enough Krug shoots her in the back, leaving her to bleed out in the lake.

A storm forces Krug and his gang to seek refuge with John and Emma, whose home is nearby. Justin realizes that they are Maris parents, and intentionally leaves a necklace Mari was wearing on the counter to alert them about their daughter. When John and Emma find Mari, barely alive, on their porch, along with the necklace from the counter, they realize that the people who did this to Mari are in their home. As they try and find the key to their boat, so that they can take Mari to the hospital, they decide to get revenge on those responsible. When Francis happens upon Maris body he is attacked and killed by John and Emma. When the couple go after Krug and Sadie they find Justin in possession of Krugs gun; Justin gives the gun to John so he can kill Krug. Sadie awakens and interrupts John, allowing Krug the chance to escape the couple where he pieces together that they are Maris parents. After Emma shoots Sadie in the head, John runs after Krug. With a combined effort from Emma, John and Justin, Krug is knocked unconscious. John paralyzes Krug from the neck down, and leaves him to die with his head in an active microwave; then he, Emma, Mari, and Justin take the boat to the local hospital.

Skull And Bones 2007 DVDRip XviD

Basically all you get from Skull & Bones is a 73-minute string of horrendous gay clichés, hideous man asses wagging back and forth or having various objects forcibly inserted into them, atrocious acting (even for camp), and some of the most ridiculous editing I’ve ever seen. The violence is as laughable as the plot, and I’m not even sure if it should be categorized as horror. A better classification would be HORRIBLE.

This first appeared on Real Movie Review-Movie Reviews, Movie Quotes, Movie Trivia This is a weak, romantic comedy that could only be more predictable if you had seen it before. For humour, they use a lot of clumsy spills and exaggerated overreactions that havent been funny for me since I stopped having recess. The male characters are giant neon signs announcing everything about them so that you could predict the film from across the street. There are a couple amusing scenes with Keatons character chatting candidly with her daughters about everything from lingerie, to female orgasms, to cut vs uncut (yes those), but its not amusing enough to make the rest of this film worth enduring.

A Day in the Life takes the audience on a wild journey through one day of an intense street war between two rival crime families. Stick’s clan is the underdog of the two families that is pushed into the war by Black who is the head of the more powerful crime family. Transmorphers Fall Of Man 2009 DVDRip XviD

The film takes place prior to the events of Transmorphers. The Earth, largely concerned with minor matters, fails to notice the arrival of the Transmorphers, a race of robots that are piloted by extraterrestrial beings. The machines invoke a cybernetic revolt, using their advanced technology to destroy the opposition posed by the world armies and thus quickly seize control of the Earth, forcing the remainder of the human race underground. Despite being the first original sequel to a mockbuster, it is not the very first mockbuster sequel, which was War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave (2005), an extension of Asylum’s adaptation of The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.
